Hello!

We have been quite busy the last couple of days! Here is a brief outline of what we did on Friday. We visited...
  • A rope bridge
  • Giant's Causeway
  • Bushmills Distillery
  • Dunluce Castle
  • an Orange bonfire.
Today we...
  • went to observe an Orange march
  • visited the Catholic community across from the bonfire we observed to get their reaction
  • went to Mass
  • packed for Dublin!
Over the next couple of days we...
  • will visit Dublin
  • will meet Fr. Alex Reid - the man behind the Irish Peace Process
  • will go to Riverdance
  • will enjoy ourselves immensely
  • will make a retreat at Rostreaver Monastery.
So we will be busy for the next couple days and may not be able to update till we return to Belfast. But, we are not quite sure so keep checking!

Thank you for posting comments; we love to hear from you. If you have not commented, it is not too late!

You will be hearing from us soon...

Peace,
Mr. Dan Bizga

Here are some pictures from Friday!

Kurt--are you borrowing Michelle's glasses?? I like the Euro scarves addition to the wardrobes! Girls, did you decide on a matching cardigan yet? Were you given bonus points to cross that "string" bridge?

Another photo op with Gerry Adams? Good for all of you!

Hope you enjoyed "Reading in the Dark" as much as Ms. Duarte and I did! Good luck as you finish up your studies, and God bless all you wee ones as you head toward a grand retreat. Cheerio, all!

We know all of you are extremely busy in Ireland from morning to midnight so we truly appreciate the time that is being taken for all of you to share your experiences. Continue to be safe, have fun, and we'll see you soon.

I love how the gentelmen have learned to tie a scarf properly. Kurt, is that Connor's hoodie? Looking forward to seeing all of you across the pond for a bon voyage dinner. Until then, Ta Ta.

So that is where all the "wooden skids" have been disappearing to.
I look forward every day, usually more than once, to see how the wee ones are doing as well as their fearless leaders. This blog space makes the distance grow smaller, thank you for that. Keep up the good work. We miss all of you. I feel like I have gotten to know all of you vicariously through this blog. Safe travels.

I'm so pleased to hear that things continue to go well and that you are all enjoying the experience---even the "studying" piece!

Please know you will be in my prayers in a special way during your retreat. Continued blessings on all!!

God Bless

I am so-o-o pleased to see the literary works published in your Belfast Diary. What fun to read. I'm expecting wonderful literary and digital pieces to be submitted to next year's Sketch, especially from Gina and Sarah. May God continue to Bless You All with strength, humor, thoughtfulness and peace on your Irish Journey. Love you.

Finally! I've been trying to leave messages for days. (If this works, I'll be so happy. Fr. Marco told me at a party about your blog.) You guys are great. All of the El Salvador service trip send regards! -Bok

Wow!!! Where does all the energy come from? You guys must be running from morning to night. Do you ever take time to rest? Well, like one of my friends once said. She will rest when she gets home.
The weather here in Cleveland is warm and dry. Ha been sunny for many days. Looking forward to your return.

We got online and read about the monastery where all of you are staying for your retreat. What a great way to process and reflect on the whole Ireland experience! How is everyone doing with the "silence" requirement? It sounds like a perfect environment to sit and pray and talk to God. With such an action-packed trip, this retreat is a wonderful way to bring it all into perspective and think about the greater meaning. We are thinking about all of you!

It was so great to see you all in Dublin! Thanks for making Sarah's 18th birthday unforgettable, and for letting us steal her away for a day.
Girls: get to the Belfast mall and buy matching sweaters before it's too late! You need to look as cool as the guys.
Teachers: FABULOUS job!
P.S. You all look like such SENIORS now!
